Fitness Level Descriptions

 

Low - Moderate Fitness

You should be able to walk on flat and sometimes uneven ground for periods of 1-2 hours with frequent opportunities for rest.  Getting into and out of vehicles and small boats with light assistance should also be within your capacity.

You should be able to walk on flat ground, uneven surfaces, and hike up gradual inclines over the course of 1-4 hours with opportunities for rest.  Getting into and out of vehicles and small boats should also be within your capacity.  There may also be activities that require jumping, some upper body strength, and leg work.  An example of this is a multi-day elephant training camp, or a 3 hour trek through mixed terrain.

You should be able to walk on flat and sometimes uneven ground and climb a reasonable amount of stairs over the course of 1-3 hours with opportunities for rest.  Getting into and out of vehicles and small boats should also be within your capacity. 


**Bali – Festivals, Arts & Culture – During this trip we have one excursion that may test the limits of the above description.   On our rice paddy walk above Tirta Gangga, we will be walking along narrow paths and up varied terrain. 

Moderate - High Fitness
